TRAFFIC ALERT: Tractor trailer crashes and catches fire on Interstate 24 near Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, TN (NOW CLARKSVILLE) – There was a heavy traffic backup Monday evening on Interstate 24 east of Clarksville due to a tractor-trailer fire.

At 6:07 a.m., a tractor-trailer struck the tree line and caught fire at mile marker 15.8.

According to witnesses, the eastbound lanes were closed for over an hour. At 7:14 p.m., traffic was still backed up past Exit 11.
