PALMETTO, Ga. — Wild video shows a mail machine spewing packages onto the floor at a troubled mail center in metro Atlanta.

Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes was at the new Palmetto United States Postal facility, where mail delays have drawn national attention, including from Sen. Jon Ossoff.

Federal Postmaster Louis DeJoy said the Palmetto is performing at 36 percent in terms of sending mail on time.

The video shows the “Martian machine” spitting out packages so quickly that workers can’t catch them. Several lots upstairs.
