Investigations underway into man’s death in shooting near Old Town Square shopping center

CHICAGO – A man was killed in a shooting near a shopping center on the Near North Side early Saturday morning.

According to Chicago police, officers responded shortly after 2:30 a.m. to a report that a man had been shot in the 400 block of West Division Street, near the Old Town Square shopping center.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 34-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The motive for the shooting is currently unclear, and authorities have not yet identified the victim.
