Suspect walks into man’s apartment, shoots him, takes his safe – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are searching for someone they say broke into a man’s apartment before shooting him and taking his safe.

Late Monday, officers responded to an apartment in the 2400 block of Cheshire Bridge NE regarding a man who had been shot.

The investigation determined that the man had returned home and his door had been broken down.

An intruder then confronted the man inside his apartment, before shooting him and leaving with his safe.

Neither the victim nor the suspect have been identified. Police did not say what was in the safe or how much the items were worth.

Police continue to investigate this shooting.
