6-year-old dies days after crash on I-75 that killed his brother and parents – WSB-TV Channel 2

A six-year-old boy from Bartow County has died days after his older brother and parents were killed in a car accident.

Family friends confirmed that Titus Mason was taken off life support on Wednesday.

Titus and his family were on their way home from a church event when the crash killed his parents, Dakarai and Erin, and his older brother, Brandon Crawford.

The Mason family’s youngest son, five-year-old Noah, is expected to survive.

“Please continue to pray for us, for the other families affected by this tragedy, and for our little Noah as he endures the unimaginable loss of his entire immediate family. There are simply no words for this pain,” family friend Brittany Sanders wrote a GoFundMe.

Investigators said the Kia van the Mason family was traveling in crossed the median, setting off a chain reaction. It is unclear what caused the van to leave the road.

Aimee Odom, who was driving one of the other cars, died when her car was hit. Her friends told Channel 2 Action News that she was on her way to a graduation party before the accident.

Odom’s family will hold a memorial service for her at 11 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville. Her family asks those in attendance to wear pink robes and, in lieu of flowers, make donations to the Georgia Innocence Project.

Brandon Crawford’s funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Cartersville. A wake will be held Sunday at Mack Eppinger & Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements for Dakarai, Erin and Titus Mason have not yet been announced. A GoFundMe page has been set up here to help with costs.
