Two women arrested in Storey County face child abuse and neglect charges | News

Two women were arrested in Storey County and charged with child abuse/neglect and false imprisonment.

The Storey County Sheriff’s Office received a request for a child welfare check on May 6 near Tunnel Road in Gold Hill, Nevada.

The deputy allegedly found a child locked in a small room. The child had no access to food, water or a toilet and also required medical attention.

Officials say the child and his siblings were removed from the home and are now with the Department of Children and Family Services.

34-year-old Tammy Hinds and 68-year-old Nancy Hinds were both taken into custody.
