Buffalo Bills’ Keon Coleman doesn’t feel pressure to replace Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis

His name is simply Keon and he is Keonough.

My apologies to anyone who didn’t see it. Barbie last year and I don’t understand the reference.

The Buffalo Bills receiver room saw some significant changes this offseason. Buffalo traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans while letting Gabe Davis leave in free agency to join the Jacksonville Jaguars. Between the two, the Bills saw 241 targets leave Buffalo.

To replace that duo, the Bills added receivers in free agency such as Curtis Samuel, Mack Collins, Chase Claypool and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Another replacement option came in the draft where the Bills used their first selection of the second round to select Keon Coleman.

Coleman, 21, has been projected as the team’s starting X-receiver in 2024 and should be a key part of Buffalo’s offense right away. With plenty of playing time ahead and plenty of targets to replace, CBS Sports’ Bryant McFadden recently asked Coleman if he feels any pressure to replace players like Diggs and Davis.

“Not at all,” Coleman said. “All I do is come out and be myself, be where I’m supposed to be. The game’s going to take care of itself, all I have to do is be in the moment. Because I’m not Gabe, I’m not Stef, I’m just Keon. We’ve got a lot of other guys that definitely complement my game and we complement each other and Josh to make it work.”

Coleman will certainly be a big part of Buffalo’s offense in 2024, but his mindset is exactly where it needs to be. With Dalton Kincaid, Khalil Shakir, James Cook, Dawson Knox returning, and a few new faces coming via free agency, there will be plenty of players who complement each other well to give Josh Allen plenty of options on the field.
