The incident occurred on Thursday (July 4) during Independence Day celebrations.

During the Fourth of July celebration, there was an incredible dashcam video from the Dearborn Police Department.

“You can clearly see on the video the fireworks land under the patrol car,” said Dearborn Police Corporal Dan Bartok. “It explodes, then there’s a big flash that’s so powerful it shakes and moves the patrol car.”

Fortunately, the officers were not injured when they were attacked near Fordson High School in East Dearborn.

“Officers were extremely busy responding to numerous complaints, and while they were there, this incident occurred,” Bartok said.
