Jordanian man sentenced to 20 years in prison for sexual harassment

The Grand Criminal Court in Jordan has imposed a harsh sentence on a man who sexually abused his daughter 120 times.

According to the Jordanian newspaper Al-Ghad, the court sentenced the defendant to 20 years in prison with hard labor after he was convicted of indecent contact and sex with a minor.

As the investigation revealed, the defendant had committed his crime against his 15-year-old daughter over a period of two years, exploited her fear of her father and threatened her with death.

The investigation also revealed that the defendant had abused his other daughter eight years ago, but the family did not report the incident for fear of a scandal.

This case is considered one of the most heinous crimes to have shaken Jordanian society in recent times and has sparked a wave of anger and resentment.

Child protection organizations stress the need to raise awareness of the problem of child sexual abuse and encourage victims to report such crimes.

The organizations also called for stricter laws to punish perpetrators and provide psychological support to victims.
