Epstein’s psychiatrist raped and sold women

A woman who claims she was a victim of sexual abuse by Jeffrey Epstein has sued his psychiatrist, accusing him of raping and trafficking her. The federal lawsuit, filed in Manhattan on Monday, says Epstein sent her to Dr. Henry Jarecki for treatment after she became distressed while being abused by the money manager. Wall Street Journal reported. The filing says Jarecki repeatedly raped the unidentified woman from 2011 to 2014 and abused other women Epstein sent him. Sarita Kedia, a lawyer for Jarecki, said: “The allegations will be proven to be completely false and baseless. Dr. Jarecki has never been abusive toward the plaintiff or any other person.”

In addition to being a celebrated psychiatrist who teaches at Yale, Jarecki is also a successful entrepreneur and commodities trader, according to CNBC. The woman’s lawsuit says Jarecki took her to his private island in the British Virgin Islands and abused her there. The abuse began after she told the psychiatrist at his New York home, where Epstein had sent her, about her symptoms, the lawsuit says. Epstein and Jarecki did this with many other women, the lawsuit says. Bradley Edwards, one of the plaintiff’s attorneys, said, “We hope her courage encourages others to feel safe speaking out.” (More stories about Jeffrey Epstein.)
