The Addie & Baylor Kirchgessner Foundation strives to enrich the lives of children through books and stories. Matt Kirchgessner helped found the nonprofit when his children died in an accident in Panama City to continue their legacy. Its goal is to put 100,000 books into the hands of children by the end of 2024.

The Addie & Baylor Kirchgessner Foundation has received more than 70,000 books through donations. The nonprofit organizes school book fairs at schools in Louisville and southern Indiana. (Spectrum News 1/Nikelle Delgado)
