Reno Police and SWAT teams are on the scene of a standoff near East Grove Street in Reno.

You try to negotiate with a suspect in a building using a megaphone.

According to our team on scene, officers are attempting to use tear gas to get the suspect to come out.

Police also say the suspect’s family is safe with them.

Portions of East Grove Street are closed due to the standoff.

Please avoid the area if possible.
