The document states that the victim was in the camp from July 1 to July 5. The victim told police that she was raped and sexually abused by the suspect.

The victim is said to have several severe mental and physical disabilities.

These alleged acts occurred on July 2 and 4 in the camp’s bathroom and shower.

A forensic interview is said to have taken place on July 7, after the victim left the camp.

KFOR went to Twin Cedars, 1 Twin Cedars Lane in Guthrie and spoke with Executive Director Jon Cunningham.

He said the board simply wanted to release a statement:

“We were notified last weekend of an allegation involving a counselor and an adult camper at Twin Cedars. We take allegations of this nature extremely seriously as the safety and well-being of our campers and counselors is always our highest priority in everything we do. We use a multi-step screening process for all volunteers working in our programs to ensure all volunteers have been thoroughly vetted in addition to comprehensive safety training. We are fully cooperating with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and are conducting our own internal investigation.”

“The people who hired him and promised safety to these very vulnerable people are not keeping their promise,” said Mark Hammons, an attorney at Hammons, Hurst & Associates.

Hammons has nothing to do with the case, but has seen similar cases.

The suspect has an affidavit regarding his arrest and a preliminary hearing in August.
