Investigation underway after man found dead in water near Rickenbacker Bridge – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

KEY BISCAYNE, FLA. (WSVN) – Authorities are investigating after a 35-year-old man was found dead in the water near the Rickenbacker Bridge in Key Biscayne.

Rescue boats were spotted in the area Monday afternoon when the Miami Police Marine Patrol responded to a call about a body floating in the water at around 2:17 p.m. Miami City Fire Department boats were also on scene.

The man was found dead and his identity has not been released because authorities have not yet notified next of kin.

The investigation is ongoing and Miami police said the death is being treated as an unspecified case.
