“I was a little scared at first, but I think the fans were there and asking for a picture,” Acuña said through a translator, according to The Denver Post. “But security was able to arrive on site, and so I think everything is fine. Everyone is well.”

Acuña, who wears number 13, said that at one point he thought he saw three amid the chaos. “But anyway, the second guy, he was also asking for a photo, and I couldn’t tell him anything because at that time, security was already there, and we were already a little confused,” he said. -he adds.

Cases of fans attacking celebritiesor even mascots, have been quite common and in the spotlight lately.

In April, CBS Sports reported that a fan was issued a citation after turning himself in for attacking the Colorado Rockies’ mascot, a purple dinosaur named Dinger, at Coors Light Field.
