Buffalo man charged with murder in connection with fatal April shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Timé J. Thomas, Jr., 30, of Buffalo, was arraigned Monday in State Supreme Court on a misdemeanor charge indictment charging him with one count of second-degree murder.

The prosecutor’s office said Thomas is accused of intentionally shooting Quentin Sims, 31, multiple times with a firearm. The shooting happened April 26 in the area of ​​Young and Ashley streets. Sims was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thomas faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison if convicted of the most serious charges.

He is scheduled to return Aug. 6 for a pretrial conference and remains held without bail.
