Israel confirms that three Hamas-run police officers were killed in attacks in the Gaza Strip

Israeli security forces reported Monday that Zaher Huli, also known as Abu Hamed, was killed on Sunday. He is said to have worked in the military wing of Hamas and with the police in the camps in central Gaza.

“Zaher used his position to cultivate ties with other Hamas terrorists and promote terrorist attacks against the Israeli home front,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) statement said.

In a separate operation on Saturday, the Israeli airstrike targeted Rami Khalil Faki of Hamas’ military wing and police in the Nuseirat area. According to the IDF statement, “Faki commanded armed terrorists who carried out attacks against IDF troops.”

Faki’s deputy and four other Hamas terrorists were killed in the same attack, the Israeli military said.
