A Polk County woman now has some extra spending money.

Mary Curatolo of Haines City spent $20 on a $5,000,000 Triple Match scratch-off game in January and claimed a $1 million jackpot for it, the Florida Lottery announced last week.

Curatolo opted for the one-time, lump-sum payment of $664,198.00. According to lottery data, she was one of five people to win $1 million in the game this year, out of eight million dollars won since it debuted in 2023. Six people have won $5 million so far .

He bought his ticket at Publix at 617 US Highway 17-92 in Haines City. The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket, lottery officials said.

The game’s overall odds of winning are 1 in 2.85, the Florida Lottery says, but the odds of winning the $5 million top prize are 1 in 3,774,705, and the odds of winning $1 million are 1 to 1,677,647. There are two $5 million and five $1 million prizes left to win.
