HOUSTON (KIAH) — The man accused of killing a customer who tried to calm him down at a west Houston McDonald’s is expected in court Monday.

Anthony Landry, 57, is charged with murder. He visited HPD headquarters on Friday.

Investigators said Landry became upset over a bad order and began yelling racial slurs at employees.

Police said attorney Jeff Limmer, 46, intervened, followed Landry outside and pushed him to the ground.

That’s when Landry allegedly grabbed a gun and shot Limmer multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect fled the scene in a blue Ford pickup truck from the early 2000s.

Landry is currently incarcerated at the Harris County Jail.
