Regular police dog retires after more than 7 years

NORMAL (25News Now) – The police dog credited with the largest methamphetamine seizure in Normal Police history is retiring.

Normal Police announced that K-9 Thor is retiring after more than seven years of service to the people of Normal and McLean County.

Both Thor and his handler, Officer Shane Bachman, have won numerous awards and have assisted most of the county’s law enforcement agencies with drug investigations, suspect arrests and property searches, the department said.
