FLAG Holds Annual Membership Meeting in Buffalo

Flexo Label Advantage Group (FLAG) held its annual membership meeting in Buffalo, New York, bringing together industry leaders, members and supplier partners to discuss the latest trends, challenges and innovations in flexographic printing and label production.

This year’s meeting brought together more than 115 participants from 64 companies and featured engaging content. Key highlights of the meeting included a keynote address on how to make doing business ridiculously easy by David Avrin, customer experience expert and best-selling author, a state-of-the-industry presentation by Greg Hrinya, editor in chief of Label & Narrow Web magazine, a digital marketing workshop given by JC McKay and marketing and industry expert Jackie Kuehlmann of LPC, and a panel discussion with FLAG members discussing the challenges they face as independent processors and the solutions that have been effective for them.

JC McKay, President of FLAG, said, “Every year our meeting offers something special, and this year in Buffalo was no exception. The energy and commitment from our members and vendor partners was incredible. We love providing a platform where our members and vendors can come together to share knowledge, explore new technologies, build meaningful relationships and grow their businesses.”

During the meeting, the group also recognized its members and suppliers with the annual FLAG Awards:

  • FLAG Vendor Partner of the Year Award: Hybrid Software
  • Brad Brown Strategic Partner Award: Jackie Kuehlmann – LPC

Seven companies received the 2022 Gold Member Awards:

  • Accu-Label – Fort Wayne, IN
  • Apogee Industries – West Chester, Pennsylvania
  • Grace Label – Des Moines, IA
  • Universal Graphics – Greencastle, PA
  • Jones Health Care Group – London, Ontario
  • Luminer Conversion Group – Lakewood, NJ
  • M&R Label – University Park, Illinois

A member company opens its doors at each annual FLAG meeting and invites all participants to visit. Members enjoy seeing how a company of similar size and scale implements processes and sets up operations to ensure growth and efficiency. This year, FLAG visited Niagara Label in Akron, NY, which was also recognized with the Million Dollar Saver Award: Niagara Label.

McKay added: “We are excited about the future of FLAG and the opportunities that lie ahead. Our focus remains on providing value to our members and driving the growth and success of the independent processor. We look forward to building on the momentum of this year’s meeting and reaching even greater heights together.

The next FLAG member event will coincide with the upcoming Labelexpo in Rosemont, Illinois in September.
