Juan Monreal-Esparza, 22, was riding his motorcycle south on Ninth Street near Cloud Street when a 2011 Ford Edge, driven by McKenzie Cramer, 21, of Salina, crossed Cloud Street and struck Esparza.

“Esparza was transported to Salina Regional Health Center with serious facial and hand injuries and then transported to Wichita,” McCary said. “According to his family and those close to him, he still has a long road to recovery ahead of him.”

McCary said Cramer suffered no injuries from the accident.
