Police said they arrested a Holbrook man on suspicion of a hit-and-run accident that left two people on an e-bike injured in Montauk on Saturday night.

East Hampton Town Police say 28-year-old Suraj Gaire struck the bikers on South Edgemore Street near South Euclid Avenue around 6 p.m. before fleeing the scene. The two riders were riding the same e-bike at the time of the incident.

About an hour later, he was arrested in Amagansett.
