Police identify two dead in triple shooting in Winton Hills

CINCINNATI – Two people are dead and a third person was hospitalized after a shooting in Winton Hills early Saturday morning, Cincinnati police said.

Police have identified the victims as Zyonn Reliford-Gilbert, 24, and 38-year-old Kevin Barton.

At around 3 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of Holland Drive for a reported shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man outside who had been shot in the head and chest. The victim called police to the scene, according to CPD.

The victim was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where she underwent surgery, CPD said. Police said her condition was stable.

According to police, everything seemed to have happened inside the home and it “looked like there had been some kind of conflict.”

Reliford-Gilbert and Barton were found in the house with gunshot wounds, police said. They both died at the scene.

Police said the victim, who was hospitalized, was the only witness to the shooting.

The CPD has not released any information on possible suspects.

It is unclear what led to the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call the CPD Homicide Unit at 513-352-3542.
