First Alert Forecast: Unsettled weather this week

First Alert Forecast: Unsettled weather this week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Some of us got a good dose of rain this weekend, others not so much, but there are plenty of other opportunities to get rained on throughout the week.

I don’t expect widespread, consistent or heavy rainfall this week, but rather a few isolated showers that will become heavier each day.

TODAY

Have your umbrella ready and keep an eye out for showers and thunderstorms expected this afternoon. Like this weekend, not everyone will see rain, but everyone should be prepared. There is no threat of severe weather, but we could see some nice downpours with thunderstorms. Highs today will be around 30 degrees.

The rain will mostly subside this evening, with lows reaching around 21 degrees.

MORNING

More isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected during the day, but there is no fear of severe weather yet. Maximum temperatures tomorrow will be between 27 and 30 degrees.

MIDDLE OF THE WEEK

The unsettled weather pattern continues through mid-week, with some isolated showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday. I can’t guarantee it will rain either day, but keep your umbrella handy like at the start of the week. Temperatures won’t change much, with highs expected to stay around 30 degrees.

LATE WEEK AND WEEKEND

Rain is still in the forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but the total rainfall in the Mid-State will be less. A passing shower or thunderstorm will linger through the end of the week and this week, but we don’t need to think about canceling our outdoor plans.

We will end the week with highs of around 27 degrees, but will reach temperatures of around 32 degrees again on Saturday and Sunday.
