Former Jericho Road Employee Arrested for Potential $600,000 Theft

Former Jericho Road Employee Arrested for Potential 0,000 Theft

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Leaders at Jericho Road, a local health center, are angry and saddened after learning that a former employee was arrested for a potential theft.

“This is someone I knew in the community,” said Dr. Myron Glick, founder and CEO of Jericho Road. “It’s personal, not just because of my role leading Jericho, but because this is a family that, in a way, grew up in Jericho.”

The health centre also houses the Vive Shelter, which houses refugees and asylum seekers.

The alleged theft took place within the past three months, according to Jericho officials.

Dr. Myron Glick says he is saddened and angry by the situation.

Dr. Myron Glick says he is saddened and angry by the situation.

“After an internal investigation, our team notified law enforcement and financial institutions of what appeared to be financial wrongdoing. And today, one of our former employees was arrested by the FBI,” Glick said.

The employee was hired in October last year.

“I mean we’ll continue to trust people, but it’s a good lesson in understanding the world we live in and being careful,” Glick said.

While $600,000 is a significant amount, Glick says it will not impact the work they do and all donations are secure.

They are now putting policies in place to ensure this does not happen again.
