CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan P. Sayers is asking all Clearfield County residents to take the time to thank and recognize members of local law enforcement during this National Police Week.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy designated May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the corresponding calendar week was designated National Police Week each year.

The congressional statement said the purpose of this week is “to pay tribute to those law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and to express our appreciation to all those currently on the front lines of the fight against crime.” to express.” “

“It is truly an honor to work with the men and women of law enforcement in Clearfield County,” Sayers said. “I hear and see the sacrifices these officers make to help protect our communities.
