Death investigation underway in south Charlotte – Queen City News

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – An investigation is underway into a death in south Charlotte, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Tuesday.

Officers responded to calls about the incident around 1 a.m. near 440 Griffith Street in south Charlotte. Details about the victim and cause of death have not yet been released.


No arrests are mentioned at this time. CMPD initially classified the case as a homicide before reclassifying it as a death.

The investigation into the death follows directly on the heels of three murder investigations on Monday evening.
