Man fatally shot while handling gun in Houston home

Houston, Texas – A 20-year-old man was fatally shot early Wednesday while handling a gun at a Houston residence, police said.

The deceased, identified as Hunter Davis, was found with gunshot wounds at 6353 Richmond Avenue around 1:45 a.m., according to a statement from the Houston Police Department. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Davis to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
