CISF cop who slapped actor suspended, FIR filed

Actress Kangana Ranaut, now also MP for Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, claimed she was slapped by a paramilitary policeman during a mandatory security check at Chandigarh airport. A woman policeman of the Central Industrial Security Force – the paramilitary force tasked with securing airports across the country, named Kulwinder Kaur – said she slapped her for treating farmers “disrespectfully”, sources said. The actress-politician had travelled to Delhi from Chandigarh to collect parliamentary passes and the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) card ahead of her swearing-in on Sunday.
