Former Brockport JV coach charged with sexual contact with minor

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – A former Brockport junior basketball coach has been accused of having sexual contact with a 15-year-old student-athlete in 2018.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, on March 18, 2024, a former student of the Brockport Central School District contacted them to report previous incidents of inappropriate sexual contact by the coach during a six-month period in 2018.

Anne Collins, 28, was subsequently arrested and charged with five counts of third-degree sexual abuse.

Officials say this happened between March and August when Collins worked for the district; she was 22 at the time. Collins is no longer employed by the BCSD, and MCSO is interviewing her former employers to identify additional victims.

The MCSO states that it is not currently aware of any other victims.

The investigation revealed that none of the criminal acts took place on school premises.

Collins was arraigned in Sweden Town Court and transported to the Monroe County Jail, where she posted $5,000 bail and was released.

The MCSO asks anyone with further details to call 911.
