Youth arrested for taking nude photos of woman and sexually assaulting her; victim raped by accused and friends – KERALA – CRIME

KOLLAM: Police have arrested a youth for taking nude photographs of a woman and gang-raping her under threat. The arrested has been identified as Shal Krishnan (38), a native of Adinadu. He is accused in several cases, including attempt to murder. Karunagappalli police have registered the case based on a complaint filed by the police.

Police said the accused sexually harassed the woman by threatening to leak her nude photos, which he had taken from her bathroom without her knowledge. Later, the accused entered the woman’s house at night along with two friends and the three of them raped her. Shal Krishna’s two friends are absconding. According to police, the two are also charged with cheating, theft, drugs and abkari offences.

Shal Krishna was arrested by a police team led by Karunagappalli SI P Pradeep. Police said the absconding accused would be arrested soon.
