Watch funeral services for Rev. William “Bill” Lawson, streamed from Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston

HOUSTON – This is how many people will remember the life and legacy of the one and only Reverend William Bill Lawson.

Reverend Lawson died last week on May 14.

He was known in our community as a gentle giant, who spoke few words but when he spoke, the whole world listened.

Celebrations of life will be held at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, located at 3826 Wheeler Avenue:

• Thursday May 23 at 6 p.m. – Community Celebration Service

• Friday May 24 at 11 a.m. – Congregational Celebration Service
