Woman dies after being attacked by a dog in her Coventry home

Emergency services received multiple calls after the victim was attacked by the dog at an address on Wexford Road at 12.15pm today (Monday). The woman, in her 30s, was “quickly removed from the property” by police and paramedics and treated at the scene. However, despite the best efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead a short time later due to her catastrophic injuries. The dog – which is not believed to be of a banned breed – was seized by police and the death was reported to a coroner.
