AT&T, T-Mobile open centers in Houston to help after Beryl

HOUSTON (KIAH) — As the Houston area is in recovery mode after Hurricane Beryl left the area damaged, several cell phone companies are stepping in to help those experiencing cell phone issues.

T-Mobile has opened four locations in the area to allow people to charge their phones, offer free Wi-Fi and help troubleshoot connectivity issues.

The four locations are:

  • T-Mobile Store: 10314 US 59 Hwy Ste D, Wharton
  • T-Mobile Store: The Commons at Deerbrook, 9550 FM1960 Bypass Rd W, Humble (NOTE: Crews will be on site starting at 11am)
  • Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA (refreshment center): 808 Pease Street, Houston
  • Weekley Family YMCA (refreshment center): 7101 Stella Link Boulevard, Houston

T-Mobile is also offering its Southeast Texas customers unlimited talk, text and data through July 14, even for customers who don’t have an unlimited plan. This also includes Metro by T-Mobile customers.

Some T-Mobile stores have reopened as power is restored in the Houston area. The company asks that you check its store locator website to see which stores are open and their hours.

Meanwhile, AT&T said they are continuing to work to restore service to all of their customers after Beryl left thousands without phone signal or Wi-Fi.
