Police investigate fatal shooting near car wash in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (KIAH) – Police are investigating another deadly shooting in southeast Houston. It happened shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday evening in the 2000 block of Broadway Street.

Officers arrived and found one person with at least one gunshot wound. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the victim was on the street at that location when he got into an altercation with another man. A shot was fired and, as the victim fell, the suspect got into a car waiting at a nearby car wash and fled.

The investigation continues with interviews with witnesses and the viewing of possible surveillance videos, police said.
