‘Serious Assault Incident’ At Oshkosh Prison Inmate Treatment Center Injures Man |  WTAQ News Talk |  97.5FM · 1360AM

OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One person was injured in what police are calling a “significant battery incident” at a state prison treatment center in Oshkosh.

On Tuesday at approximately 2:50 p.m., officers were called to the Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC), 1505 North Drive, to investigate a battery incident.

Officials say this was an isolated incident between two people in the courtyard area of ​​the facility and there is no threat to the public.

A 56-year-old man was injured and is being treated at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. The other person involved in the incident was a 41-year-old man. No one else was injured.

None of the people involved were WRC employees, officials said.

The Oshkosh Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident.
