Biden and Trump to attend June presidential debate in Atlanta

A presidential rematch debate will take place in Atlanta. CNN announced Wednesday that it will host a presidential debate in June, with President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump confirming their attendance.

Georgia is a crucial state for both candidates, with Biden winning a narrow majority in the state in 2020 and Trump narrowly winning in 2016.

The debate will take place on June 27 at 9 p.m. and will be filmed at CNN’s studios in Atlanta. Unlike many previous presidential debates, there will be no audience in attendance, a decision that a press release said will “ensure candidates maximize the time allotted for the debate.”
