With a meal for two for $65, movie tickets for $24, and a reasonably priced $2 transit ride, Buffalo is a great mix of affordability and entertainment. This earned them an impressive 83.2 on the affordability scale!

Rochester is a close second, ranking second. Despite higher meal prices ($87.50), the Hot Plate City stands out for its low prices on beer, coffee and movie tickets.

This has made Rochester one of the most popular destinations for those looking to make the most of their New York travel budget. If you’re looking to make memories while keeping money in your pocket, Buffalo and Rochester offer affordability and fun.
