The victim, a 35-year-old woman whose identity has not been released, was shot in the right leg. The injuries sustained are not life-threatening and she was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

HPD says Calhoun arrived at the residence to pick up her child. What started as a routine visit quickly escalated into a heated argument. Calhoun allegedly resorted to a gun, shooting his own mother before leaving the scene. The police then located and apprehended her a few kilometers from the scene of the incident.
