Newport News police recruits help local food bank

NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia. — A huge thank you to the Newport News Police Department recruit class for their outstanding community service at our food bank today! The recruits were instrumental in packing 360 USDA boxes, landscaping and cleaning the warehouse, making a significant impact on our operations.

We are deeply grateful for their hard work and commitment to serving the community. Their efforts help ensure more families have access to the food they need.

If your group – whether a business, school or organization – wants to make a difference like the Newport News Police Recruits, we would love your help! Volunteering with us is a great way to give back to the community. To organize your group volunteer event, please contact Megan, our Volunteer Coordinator, at [email protected].

Remember: every helping hand contributes to a fuller plate and a happier community!
