Tensions have escalated significantly between Cody Rhodes and The Bloodline after the Undisputed WWE Champion was attacked by Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa and his enforcers. On the last episode of SmackDown, Solo entered the ring and declared that everyone must recognize him. He warned that those who did not would face consequences, specifically naming Paul Heyman and Cody Rhodes. Solo also made a bold statement, assuring that he would recognize Solo as his Tribal Chief when Roman Reigns returns.

The Bloodline attacks Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton

Cody Rhodes enters the ring and offers Solo a WWE Championship match at SummerSlam. Cody informs Sikoa that he still needs to speak with Nick Aldis, but is ready. He tells Sikoa that if it were up to him, the match wouldn’t wait until SummerSlam; he would do it right here and now. This segment hints at a possible WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam.

The Bloodline then surrounds Rhodes, who begins to attack them single-handedly. Fatu lands a superkick and lands a clothesline, but Randy Orton’s music hits and he takes out Loa and Tonga on the ramp. Orton sends Fatu out of the ring to join them, hits a hanging DDT on Sikoa and helps Rhodes up. Fatu then attacks Randy and takes him out of the ring.

The action moves outside as Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa attack Orton with steel kicks. Meanwhile, Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu tie Cody Rhodes’ hands to the ropes. The Bloodline members, including Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa, brutally attack Randy Orton near the announce table. Jacob hits Orton with superkicks until he is knocked out.

Finally, The Bloodline clears the announce table and hits Orton with a triple powerbomb through it. After this brutal attack, Solo Sikoa hits the helpless Cody with a Samoan Spike. SmackDown ends dangerously with the members of The Bloodline raising their hands high in victory.

The entire segment was electric, with Cody’s interest in facing Solo for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam being particularly notable. Solo’s wish was granted, but what about the other members of The Bloodline? Earlier on SmackDown, a short promo video highlighted Solo Sikoa’s ambition to pursue titles, including the World Tag Team Titles and the WWE Title. This suggests that fans may see a Tag Team Championship match between members of The Bloodline and DIY at SummerSlam.
