Houston Astros Launch Exclusive DJ Screw Merchandise Collection

HOUSTON (KIAH) – The Houston Astros are unveiling an unprecedented collaboration with Houston hip hop legend DJ Screw during a special event at the Center Field Team Store at Minute Maid Park. The exclusive merchandise collection, designed in partnership with Mitchell & Ness, celebrates DJ Screw’s influence on Houston’s vibrant hip hop culture.

Launching on Thursday, June 27, it coincides with the city’s proclamation of DJ Screw Day, honoring the enduring legacy of the iconic DJ. Doors to the Center Field Team Store will open at 9 a.m. and remain open until 6:27 p.m., offering fans the opportunity to acquire never-before-seen apparel and memorabilia, marking the most comprehensive Astros collaboration to date.

Mitchell & Ness, renowned for its excellence in heritage apparel and headwear, is teaming up with the Astros for the first time, promising high-quality designs that celebrate both DJ Screw and the Astros’ rich history .

To kick off the day, the Sterling High School Marching Band, affectionately known as the “Wall of Sound” and alma mater of DJ Screw, will perform a special performance at the Astros Team Store at opening hour. Following the event, the Astros Team Store will make a charitable donation to the Sterling High School Band in DJ Screw’s name, furthering his legacy in the community where he left an undeniable mark.
