Beaches in Evanston closed due to “water testing” | LIVE

EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) – All beaches in Evanston were closed Monday afternoon due to a “water investigation,” the Evanston Fire Department said.

There were heavy fire and police operations at Lee Street Beach, Dempster Street Beach and Church Street Beach.

The purpose of this investigation is unknown.

The Evanston Fire Department is on scene.
