Free E-Waste Recycling Event Planned Today in Houston

The South Central Solid Waste Management District is partnering with the City of Houston to host a free, one-day e-waste recycling event today. (Saturday May 18).

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at 204 W. Spruce St. in Houston. Residents of Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Shannon, Texas, and Wright counties are encouraged to participate. The event is first come, first served until the transport truck is full.

Computers, monitors, cables/wires, televisions, VCR/DVD players, most household appliances, stereo equipment, office equipment and cell phones are all accepted. Refrigerators are not accepted.
