State Police Investigate Injury Accident City of Brownville |  WWTI

BROWNVILLE, NY (WWTI) – New York State Police are investigating a personal injury accident that occurred on Saturday, May 12, after 10:30 p.m.

State troopers responded to 16801 County Route 53 in the town of Brownville for a personal injury motor vehicle accident.

The operator was identified as 40-year-old Derek Webb of Watertown. He was traveling east on County Route 53 in the town of Brownville when his vehicle left the roadway and struck three mailboxes and a tree. Webb was transported by ambulance to Samaritan Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the Town of Bronwville Joint Fire District’s Facebook page, crews were working to clear a large debris field and contain a gasoline spill. The state Department of Environmental Conservation was contacted for spill response.

This investigation is currently ongoing.
