Saweetie hits back at haters spreading ‘negative propaganda’ after festival incident

Saweetie is someone who has had her fair share of altercations with fans online. Overall, there are a lot of people on Twitter and Instagram who can be particularly cruel. Some fans genuinely believe that they won’t be exposed for the hate they spew. However, the “Icy Girl” has certainly seen these comments and makes sure to add a few words. It’s always refreshing to see her clap back on the timeline and that’s exactly what she did on Monday.

For those who may have missed it, Saweetie performed at the Vegandale Festival in Chicago over the weekend. During her performance, the artist noticed some people fighting and when she asked what was going on, the crowd ran away. This caused a stampede of sorts where fans may have been injured. On social media, some people blamed Saweetie for all of this. In addition, some accounts tried to make it look like fans ran away because they didn’t want to hear her perform.

Saweetie replies

Above you can see that Saweetie responded to the account MyMixtapez. “This was a serious matter but y’all are too obsessed with spreading this negative propaganda against me,” Saweetie wrote. There has certainly been negativity towards the artist and her music over the past year or so. However, with her latest string of singles, she is changing her tune. Her song “NANi” has proven to be an anthem and her next track is met with a lot of anticipation. Hopefully, she doesn’t let the negativity spoil her momentum.

Let us know what you think about this situation in the comments section below. Do you think any of this was Saweetie’s fault?
