Sea Turtle Stamps

The U.S. Postal Service recently unveiled its new permanent “Protect Sea Turtles” stamps in an effort to increase awareness of the plight of these magnificent creatures. The unveiling ceremony for the stamps, which depict four species of sea turtles that depend on America’s coastal waters for survival, took place at the Texas State Aquarium.

All four species are protected under the Endangered Species Act. These new stamps can be purchased through the postal store, online or by telephone. It’s not only a beautiful tribute to these amazing animals, it’s also a creative way to encourage people to help protect them.

Southwest Bags

Southwest Airlines’ free baggage policy could be in jeopardy. Investment firm Elliott Management has taken a significant stake in the airline and is expected to push for changes.

Elliott noted in a presentation on its website that Southwest had “written off” revenue opportunities implemented across the industry over the past 15 years, including assigned seating, premium products, a basic economy fare and checked baggage fees.
