Washoe County School District employee charged with sexual relationship with minor

RENO, Nev. (KRNV) — A Washoe County School District employee was arrested in Reno on Tuesday and accused of having a sexual relationship with a minor.

On June 11 at 3:30 a.m., Reno police officers took a report from a 14-year-old male victim who said he had a sexual relationship with Caitlin Rock, a 46-year-old Washoe County School District employee. Detectives from RPD’s Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit took over the investigation.

After the victim’s interview was completed, Caitlin Rock was contacted and interviewed. Rock was ultimately arrested on multiple counts of sexual abuse of a minor and sexual enticement.

It is unclear what position Rock takes toward the district.
