Suspected gunman on the run after shooting man outside Gulfgate area business in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Houston police are searching for a suspect who fatally shot a man Friday outside a Gulfgate area business.

Police say the shooting happened outside a business at 6420 Gulf Freeway, near Griggs Road, around 12:45 p.m.

Officers say two men were playing with slot machines at a convenience store.

The victim argued with the suspect before shots were fired, police said. Police believe the suspect has been living in the area since he fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a man between 18 and 25 years old, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
